Getting paid
Choose how buyers pay you — PayPal transfers, direct bank transfer and cash on collection. Set the details once under Manage → Payments & Delivery; buyers get payment instructions with their order number.
Set up payments under Manage → Payments & Delivery. Manual payment methods are commission-free — the buyer pays you directly and LocalFor.Me takes no cut. Card/Stripe checkout is paused for now.
Payment methods
- PayPal transfers — add the PayPal email buyers should pay. Each order shows the amount, your email and the order number to include as the note, with a PayPal link.
- Direct bank transfer — add the account name, sort code and account number. Each order shows the total and the order number to use as the reference.
- Cash on collection — part of the Features add-on. Buyers reserve and pay in person when they collect; collection-only items.
You can enable more than one method. Buyers choose at the basket, and the order stays Pending until you confirm the money arrived.
Confirming payment
Open Manage → Orders and select the order. Once the money is in your account, use Mark payment received (or Mark cash received) — the order becomes Paid and the buyer is notified. If it isn't paid, cancel the order to release the stock; unpaid manual orders auto-cancel after 48 hours.
PayPal Business and Stripe
PayPal Business (automatic checkout/payment requests) and Stripe card payments are shown as coming soon/paused while they're being finished. No card details are stored by LocalFor.Me.
Delivery defaults
The same page also holds your default delivery option and default carrier, which apply to new listings unless overridden.
